Starting May 7th, discover the ''Monsieur Rose'' (''Mr. Pink''), the ''Le parcours Le Mignonisme'' by beloved French artist Philippe Katerine.
This Summer, Montrealers and tourists alike will be invited to follow the footsteps of Monsieur Rose : a quirky, petic and hilarious public art exhibit dotted throughout Montreal's downtown core and Quartier des spectacles. Will you be able to spot the emblems of Mignonisme in Nouveau Centre?
About the works
The sculptures, made of resin and standing up to 2.7 metres tall, are called the Monsieur Rose – the emblems of Mignonisme. This artistic movement, founded by Philippe Katerine, celebrates beauty in simplicity and wonderment in the everyday. With his touching and funny creations, the artist will turn downtown Montreal into his playground – with a delightfully silly touch.
